Microsoft Outlook Distribution Lists

Use the following steps to create a distribution list using names in your Microsoft Outlook Address Book:
  1. Click on the File menu, New, and then click Distribution List.
    The Distribution List window opens.
  2. Type a name in the Name box.
  3. Click on the Select Members... button.
    The Select Members window opens.
  4. In the Show Names from the: drop down menu, select the address book that has the email addresses you want in the distribution list.
  5. In the Type Name of Select from List: box, type the name you want to include.
  6. In the list below, select the name and then click the Members -> button.
    Repeat steps 4-6 for each person you want to add to the distribution list, and then click OK.

Note: If you would like to add longer descriptions of the distribution list, click the Notes tab and then type the text.

Note: The distribution list is saved in the Contacts folder under the name you have given it.
